Karl Rove on Obama’s response to the chaos in Iran

Rove says the Obama admin should be backing the dissidents and “shouldn’t be silent.”

This was, of course, before Obama came out and boldly (/sarc) stated that the U.S. shouldn’t be seen as “meddling” in Iranian affairs.

Here’s the vid of Rove on Fox News:

I’m torn on this matter, on one side I would love to see Obama rally the dissidents and bring the Mullahs to their knees, on the other I have to respect his wait and see attitude.
The last eight years have left a bad taste in my mouth as far as the middle east is concerned, and fanning the ire of the Iran can really burn us down the line.

    • Nick says:

Well, the Iranian students being killed don’t want Obama to have a wait-and-see attitude. They want his support, and they should have it. Sarkozy shouldn’t be bolder than our president.

  2. Bloodghett says:

    Valid points.
Lip service only goes so far, however, that seems to be the only thing conservatives seem to crying out for.
Lip service will not stop the violence and killing.

  3. Nick says:

So silence is better than lip service? Silence is better than Obama strongly condemning the Iranian government for killing its own people?

I want you to listen to this clip, and tell me what you think:
