The beautiful face of the Iranian revolution

This picture is widely thought to be of Neda, the Iranian woman murdered by a Basij militia member yesterday. She was shot in the chest while standing next to her father, who was then forced to watch her die as blood filled her lungs. No rhyme, no reason. Just murdered in cold blood.

Her name means “the voice,” but Neda is now also the face of the Iranian revolution.

AllahPundit at HotAir links to this piece by Time’s Robin Wright, who talks about the significance of Neda’s death.

Keep all of the Iranian people in your prayers.
