Universal not in the ‘Zone’ at B.O
Universal’s “Green Zone” joined the ranks this weekend as the most recent Iraq war-themed pic to earn dissapointing B.O. results, with the film grossing an understated $14.5 million at 3,003 playdates.
Tracking for “Zone,” which cost approximately $100 million, was strongest among males with 54%, while female auds made up an additional 44%. Older demos responded well to the film, totaling 67%, as opposed to 33% of moviegoers under 30.
Cost $100 million to make, earned $14.5 million over the weekend.
